BEYOND DANCING SHADOW
[ABSTRACT]
Beyond Dancing Shadow seeks to preserve and revitalize Huaxian shadow puppetry and Chinese opera through type design, exploring how Chinese characters, as vessels of culture and history, can convey the essence of intangible heritage. As a foundation for communication, typography merges the spirit of traditional arts with contemporary aesthetics, creating a visually engaging method of cultural transmission. Presented through innovative design and an experimental publication, this project aims to foster renewed appreciation and understanding of these art forms, bridging cultural heritage with modern sensibilities for lasting impact.
