COMMEDIA DELL’ARTE REIMAGINED
[ABSTRACT]
These drawings are from my ‘Mythmakers’ studio, which had me researching a myth, legend or fable of my own choosing. This is my reimagining of the popular stock characters from Italian theatre, known as Commedia Dell'arte, combined with their contemporary appearances from the popular videogame called ‘Genshin Impact.’ The characters are: Tartaglia, Scaramouche, Arlecchino and La Signora.I chose Commedia Dell'arte as it relates to my Italian heritage, and also demonstrates the constant changing and contemporary adaptation of stories and myths.
